Eminent speakers from the world of culture and the arts will join us to share their views on the importance of Creative Arts in business and the economy.
Lord Dafydd Elis Thomas AM joins us in his new role as Welsh Government Minister for Culture, Tourism and Sport. David Pountney Artistic Director of the Welsh National Opera, described by many as a creative genius in the world of opera will explore the impact of the Arts on business and the value to the economy. Terry Waite will promote the significance of the Llangollen International Eisteddfod to our region. Formed 70 years ago in post war Wales, is an abiding symbol of peace across the nations.

Speakers

Welsh politician, representing the Dwyfor Meirionnydd constituency in the National Assembly for Wales. Born in Carmarthen, Wales, he was raised in Ceredigion and the Conwy Valley.

British theatre and opera director and librettist internationally known for his productions of rarely performed operas and new productions of classic works.

David Pountney

Artistic Director, Welsh National Opera
English humanitarian and author. Waite was the Assistant for Anglican Communion Affairs for the then Archbishop of Canterbury, Robert Runcie, in the 1980s.
